Connecting Northern Women: Conference Date: Friday, Apr 17, 2009 7:00 PM to Sunday, Apr 19, 2009 8:00 PM Location: Quesnel Women’s Resource Centre - The Quesnel Women’s Resource Centre is hosting Connecting Northern Women: Northern Women’s Conference, in Quesnel, BC April 17 - 19th, 2009. 

The focus of the conference has been determined through a needs assessment questionnaire that was distributed to women from 100 Mile House up to and including the Yukon Territory. 

Information from the returned needs assessments indicate that the top four issues of concern to northern women are women’s poverty, violence against women, addictions, and housing. These four issues will form the focus for our conference. We are expecting approximately 150 women from communities around the north to be in attendance at the Connecting Northern Women Conference.
