Biodiversity Working Group
The Biodiversity Working Group is pleased to present the 2009 Biodiversity Forum on Saturday April 4th from 9 AM - 4 PM. We have over a dozen speakers lined up to give short, 15 minute talks in plain language on a variety of Yukon plants, animals and habitats. There will also be a variety of posters related to Yukon biodiversity monitoring on display. The 2009 Biodiversity Awareness Award will be presented at noon followed by a lunch on site. Registration is required (although free). Please contact Scott Gilbert sgilbert@yukoncollege.yk.ca or leave a message at 668-8776 indicating you wish to register.
In collaboration with the Yukon Science Institute there will be a special talk on Friday night, April 3rd. Dr. David Welch will give a public presentation on Salmon Biodiversity in an Age of Global Warming starting at 7:30 PM in the Lecture Hall at Yukon College.
